Group's progress with a picture for the month
A millimeter-wave optical system has been installed in the laboratory by Hirose (YNU). Various measurements are being taken to develop a device to analyze the optical properties of detectors and optical elements used in CMB observation experiments.
Mr.Takuro Ikemoto has joined us as a student of SOKENDAI.
Takaho and Daiki, the students, left our group. From April, they will walk in their own ways.
A global screen-to-screen (S2S) meeting for LiteBIRD was held online. From our group, attendees included Masashi, Tijmen and Taketo.
We held an internal annual meeting online at January 6th. Members presented their achievements in 2020 and ambitions for 2021. We also invited our alumnis and collaborators.
Yuto's new paper of analysis of the cosmic birefringence has been published from Physical Review Letters. We developed a new calibration method for polarization angle of detectors. We applied this method to the CMB data of Planck satellite to exclude no-birefringence at 99.2% C.L.
A new paper of POLARBEAR experiment, in which we take part, has been published from The Astrophysical Journal. We measured the Hubble constant, the effective number of neutrinos and primordial helium abundance using the CMB E-mode power spectrum.
